Directions
Tierra Verde is a small island enclave on Boca Ciega Bay south and west of
Tampa Bay. One road in and one road out, it is the home to some 3,500
families, virtually every residence in a waterfront setting.
Coming from the south - Venice, Sarasota, etc.
Driving on I-275, follow the Interstate north over the Bob Graham Sunshine
Skyway Bridge. Keep left and turn off at Exit 17, then turn left at the end of the
exit onto 54th Avenue South (Pinellas Bayway). Turn left at the third traffic light
onto Pinellas Bayway South to Tierra Verde.
Coming from the north - Tampa, Dunedin, etc.
Follow I-275 south (over the Howard Frankland Bridge from Tampa, and from
US 19 to the Interstate from Dunedin). Turn off at Exit 17, keeping left as the
exit splits, then at the end of the exit turn right onto 54th Avenue South
(Pinellas Bayway). Turn left at the fourth traffic light (counting 34th Street
South) onto Pinellas Bayway South to Tierra Verde.
Arriving by air
Commercial air travelers typically land either at Tampa International (TPA) or
St. Pete-Clearwater International (PIE). From both TPA and PIE you will be
coming from the north. Just get onto I-275 and follow the “Coming from the
north” instructions shown above. General aviation travelers will typically land
at Albert Whitted Airport in downtown St. Petersburg or Sarasota Bradenton
International (SRQ) near Sarasota. From Albert Whitted, get onto I-275 and
follow the “Coming from the north” instructions above. From SRQ, get onto I-
275 and follow the “Coming from the south” instructions above.
